The Lat Tower on the Blaze Home Gym is designed to help you work your shoulders and back, and the machine is designed with multiple cable attachments to work your chest, triceps, biceps, and shoulders.

Cons of the Bowflex Blaze Home Gym
Here are a few of the negative things users have had to say about the Bowflex Blaze Home Gym:
- Uses bands instead of weights — Unlike with many workout machines, this one uses elastic bands for the workout instead of weight discs. The bands can become over-stretched, leading to a reduction in resistance. The resistance of the bands also varies with temperature. The hotter the day, the easier the workout.
- Less weight — Lifting 200 Bowflex pounds is not the same as lifting 200 actual pounds. The weights on the machine don’t translate precisely into real life. You may think you’re lifting very heavy, but the workout is not the same as you get with free weights.
- Too light for more advanced trainees — If you have been training for a year or so, the amount of weight (210 Bowflex “pounds”) may not be enough for you to get a proper workout. You may have to pay extra to upgrade the machine in order to have sufficient weight to push your muscles.
- Not as versatile as older models — The Bowflex Blaze is Bowflex’s latest machine, an upgrade to the Power Pro. However, unlike the Power Pro, the Bowflex Blaze is not as versatile, and your options for comfortable workout are limited in comparison.

Bowflex PR1000 Home Gym — This home gym machine isn’t as complete as the Blaze, but it’s a much more compact machine. It can be used for up to 30 exercises, and it includes a bench press and pull-down machine. At $100+ LESS than the Blaze, it’s a pretty solid piece of equipment.
